Likened to Ray LaMontagne and Ben Harper, Swindon born Josh Kumra has already started gaining a name for himself, despite having played only locals gigs up to now.
Featuring on the single 'Don't Go' by Wretch 32, Josh has also delivered an acoustic version which is starting to gain a lot of attention on youtube.
It seems that he has come almost out of nowhere, with his acoustic version hitting 200,000 views and counting already, having only been put up at the end of August 2011. The good news is that he has said he is currently spending a lot of time in the studio writing and recording, having signed with EMI records a couple of months back, it will be interesting to see which way his music goes, as a lot of his youtube videos are laid back, chilling acoustic performances, though he may be tempted to stay mainstream and record more with the likes of Wretch 32.. We shall have to wait and see!
